ATLANTA (AP) -- NASCAR Truck Series team owner Billy Ballew was arrested for drunk driving at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Wednesday night.

Ballew, whose No. 51 Toyota truck is scheduled to be driven by Kyle Busch in Saturday's American Commercial Lines 200, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he was arrested on AMS property in Hampton, Ga.

Ballew told the paper he was arrested on the racetrack property. He acknowledged he had a mixed drink with him in the car when arrested by a Henry County sheriff's department sergeant. He said he refused to take a breathalyzer test.

"I am 100 percent sure that it will be dropped," Ballew told the paper. "It was only one drink. I was not drunk. I was on Atlanta Motor Speedway property. I was not on the highway."

Ballew, a native of Blairsville, Ga., owns a condo on the AMS property.

Alene Brownlee, a spokeswoman for Billy Ballew Motorsports, based in Mooresville, N.C., said Thursday Ballew was not available for comment. Brownlee said Ballew would attend Saturday's race.

Ballew was arrested Wednesday at 7:45 p.m., booked into the county jail on a DUI charge and released later Wednesday night on a $1,506 bond, according to records at the Henry County jail.

Ballew's team also is scheduled to have a No. 15 Toyota truck, driven by Shane Sieg, in Saturday's race.
